Mother India
We celebrate the 75th Independence day of
our Mother India on 15th August 2021. Also,
we remember the struggle of our forefathers on this auspicious day. Our first fight for freedom happened 164 years ago.
The fight against the sepoys did not lead us to victory. This war, later came to be known as the First War for Independence. Years later, under the leadership of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, laymen came forward and fought against the British East India Company. Ahimsa and Satyagraha were were the two weapons used by Gandhiji in the second war for Independence. The Hindu and Muslim brethren who lived in harmony, joined hands for the independence of Mother India. Under the leadership of Gandhiji, the country gained independence.
Later, communal conflicts took place between Hindus and Muslims. Gandhiji and British leaders tried their level best to put an end to the partition. Partition happened and Muslims formed a new nation named Pakistan, under the leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. On the other hand, the Hindus came together under the leadership of Nehru. Finally, India came into being on 15th August, 1947.
Therefore, let us not forget, the spirit and sacrifice of the great fathers of our nation. Along with this, let us all live in peace and harmony with each other, and make India a better place for future generations.
